Crews working to contain bushfire

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are on scene at a vegetation fire burning near Whites Road at Maryvale, northeast of Warwick today, Friday 1 June.

The fire started yesterday evening and is posing no threat to property at this time. Crews are working to contain the fire.

Residents in Maryvale and Upper Freestone may be affected by a smoke haze throughout the afternoon.

Residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by.

If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.

QFES is advising all residents in bushfire-risk areas to update their bushfire survival plan.
