A cuppa for the cause

THE Warwick Potters Association is hosting a morning tea on 9 May to support Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
The morning tea will be held at Warwick Potters Place, Horseman Road (opposite Warwick Christian College) from 10am to noon and costs $10. Lots of fun, friendship and good food will be on offer. Visitors will be able to view the pottery gallery and there will be a lucky door prize and a multi-draw raffle. You are invited to come along and raise your cup to help beat cancer. Please RSVP to Raye Batham 0402 307 637.
Since 1993 people all over Australia have gathered in living rooms, community centres, schools and workplaces to celebrate Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. From humble beginnings the event has grown to be one of Australia’s most popular fundraising events, enjoyed by over a million people each year.
Every year, the Cancer Council helps thousands of Australians affected by cancer because they believe it’s a journey that no-one should go through alone. This year, the Cancer Council aims to recruit 36,000 generous morning tea hosts to support the Cancer Council’s life-saving work into prevention programs, world class research and support services (like the Cancer Council Helpline 13 11 20) for all people affected by cancer.
