A guide to savour

WARWICK’S signature destination guide has hit the streets.
Savour Warwick and Surrounds has grown to a print run of 40,000 copies, to be distributed to all visitor information centres in Queensland and northern NSW; to local tourism operators and at events throughout the region.
The full-colour 48 page booklet was launched by CEO of Warwick Tourism and Events Tracey Vellacott.
“It is the ‘must have’ directory for those who want to know more about this area,” Ms Vellacott said.
“It represents our story through insightful editorial, striking photography and charming anecdotes to inspire travellers.”
Popular features include a history and heritage section, tourist drives, sections on events, fishing, fossicking, cycling and National Parks, along with maps of the district and historical walk through Warwick’s CBD.
Ms Vellacott said there had been a significant jump in Facebook and Instagram interest in the region in recent months.
Even given increased use of electronic media, the Warwick Visitor Information Centre has seen a two per cent increase, to over 22,000 visitors in 2013, she said.
