Tenterfield family in fatal crash

A 54-YEAR-OLD woman from Tenterfield was killed in a three-vehicle traffic crash near Stanthorpe on Saturday.
One of the woman’s daughters remains in a critical condition in hospital in Brisbane while another daughter has been released from Toowoomba Hospital.
The crash occurred on the New England Highway near the Whiskey Gully Road intersection.
The driver and sole occupant of another of the vehicles, a 37-year-old Surfers Paradise woman, was uninjured. Police charged her with disqualified driving, dangerous driving causing death and grievous bodily harm.
Bronya Schoner was remanded in custody to appear Warwick Magistrates’ Court on 26 March.
The occupants of the third vehicle were uninjured.
It was the third fatal crash on the New England highway between Stanthorpe and the NSW border this year.
