Locals train Macca’s staff in Vietnam

YOUNG locals will help train Vietnamese staff as McDonald’s prepares to open its first restaurant in the country.
Courtney Cunningham of Stanthorpe and Kyle Nicholson of Warwick joined a team of McDonald’s workers and managers who will train staff ahead of the opening in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday, 8 February.
The pair, shift supervisors in Warwick and Stanthorpe, will also join McDonald’s staff from Singapore and the Philippines during the week for a crew rally.
Their trip is fully funded by McDonald’s Vietnam, who are also providing them with a two-night holiday at a local beach resort in appreciation for her efforts.
The trip is part of a training program that has seen McDonald’s Australia play a key role in the in establishment of the company in Vietnam.
A group of Vietnamese trainees have also travelled to Queensland to undertake training in local restaurants.
