Inter brave but colts too strong

United Men’s team.

On their home turf, International Club pushed United all the way.  They had their supporters in raptures midway through the second half when they snatched the lead after a goal from Aaron Ezzy. United injected players from the bench and those fresh legs helped United dominate in the final quarter of the match to secure a 3-1 victory for United. Inter Club had struggled for numbers all season long, so for them to even make the grand final, let alone lead with 20 minutes to go, was a great effort – but eventually it took its toll. Adam Baush and Josh Mascardi worked hard in the middle of the field for Inter while Alex Williams never stopped running up front in a bid to pressure the United defence. United’s Will Merrit and Kev Collett played well, along with Captain Curtis Allen who scored two of United’s three goals, making it eight Grand Final wins in the last nine years – a remarkable club effort.
