Designs completed for Stanthorpe facility

The Stanthorpe Rugby League Football Club Inc (SRLFC) has recently completed designs of eight future infrastructure projects for the Sullivan & Crisp Oval facility.
The SRLFC worked closely with the Stanthorpe Junior Rugby League Inc, Stanthorpe Sports Association Inc and other user groups in identifying the future infrastructure requirements for this wonderful Stanthorpe sporting facility.
Some of the designs completed include: new dressing rooms/refs rooms/disabled toilets/ toilets/meeting room and announcers’ box; concrete seating stairs on the Crisp Oval Hill; which will be covered; new Player/Coach Dugouts for Crisp Oval; new scoreboard for Crisp Oval; renovations to the existing clubhouse including disabled access toilets and ramps; covered entertainment area off the canteen area at the Sullivan Oval Clubhouse; new storage shed facility; and preliminary plans for a future clubhouse on Sullivan Oval Hill.
These plans will now be the focus of the fundraising efforts of the SRLFC and SJRL and other user groups for the coming years.
The SJRL are using their upcoming 50th anniversary to raise funds to assist with the construction of the first project.
Obviously to complete/fund all projects will take some years to complete, however, having the designs will enable the clubs and community to apply for funding opportunities in coming months/years for this wonderful sporting facility in Stanthorpe.
The Stanthorpe Rugby League Football Club Inc would like to acknowledge the assistance provided by the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation in providing the funding of $10,000 for this program via the “Building Rural Communities Fund”.
Without this assistance the likelihood of raising sufficient monies to complete these infrastructure designs in total would have been unlikely.
