SCOTS continue to shine in equestrian

The equestrian star of The SCOTS PGC College continued to shine with the team winning their third consecutive Champion School of the Darling Downs Interschool.
Both residential and day students participated over the three-day competition and literally dominated the top end of the results.
Individual and team wins were also recorded in each discipline with riders displaying what has now become their trademark of tremendous sportsmanship and team work.
Head of equestrian Richard King was extremely proud of the team of riders this year.
“The standard of riding across the team continues to improve and this was reflected in the results,” Mr King said.
He would also like to congratulate team captains, Maddy Jones and Caitlin Laird, for outstanding leadership skills and mentoring shown to the younger and less experienced members of the team.
Maddy was once again recognised as the Supreme Rider of the event for the second year running.
The college is now looking forward to the annual SCOTS Extravaganza, which is being held on June 17, 18 and 19 at the Warwick Showgrounds.
The extravaganza is a wonderful opportunity for riders to showcase not only their riding skills but their extraordinary team spirit and sense of college community.
