Ogilvie Road break-in

Between 10.30 pm on Monday 4 July and 2.15 am on Tuesday 5 July, a house was broken into on Ogilvie Road, Warwick, and was entered by an unknown person.

The offender stole a set of car keys and the resident was informed of the break-in after waking up to their car driving away.

As a result, the resident went looking for the stolen vehicle with their second car and came across police.

The stolen car was subsequently located on Dragon Street a short time later, but no one was immediately around the car.

Two young people were located nearby but nobody has been charged and the matter is still under investigation.

Rose City Shoppingworld theft

At 10.20 am on Wednesday 6 July, a Warwick female, 32, stole hair clips at Rose City Shoppingworld near Telstra.

The offender was located shortly after by police and charged with stealing as well as trespassing, as the woman had been banned from the centre.

At 1 pm on the same day, the woman was located at the centre again by a staff member who notified police.

As a result, she was given another notice to appear in court on 1 August due to the offence and breach of bail.

Maryvale woman airlifted to Brisbane

A woman in her 20s was flown to Brisbane after an incident on a Maryvale property at midday on Saturday.

According to Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS), she suffered leg injuries as a result of a fallen silo.

She was conscious and airlifted by a LifeFlight chopper to a hospital in Brisbane.

Emergency services were at the scene, including fire and ambulance officers.

Stolen dog

At midday on Friday 8 July, a vehicle was observed on CCTV at a Percy Street address.

The male offender got out of the car, took the resident’s dog, and drove away – the matter is still under investigation.

Warwick drug drivers

Last Friday, a Warwick male, 49, was found at 5:45 pm on Weewondilla Road for drug driving and will appear in court on 15 August.

On Saturday 9 July at 4.00pm, a male from Caboolture was also found drug driving and will appear in court on the same date.

At the same time on Wallace Street, a 21-year-old male from Eight Mile Plains was charged with possession of a dangerous drug (a small quantity of cannabis).

Also on Saturday at 8.00 pm, a female Warwick driver, 33, was found driving with relevant drug in system on Canning Street.
