Close to 60 people attended the Rotary Club of the Granite Belt changes over at the Queensland College of Wine Tourism last week.

President-Elect David Lee said Queensland College of Wine Tourism provided a perfect venue for a successful social evening.

As is the norm, tables were appropriately decorated, this time to replicate the new Rotary International theme – Imagine Rotary.

The evening’s proceedings flowed well with a delicious meal served by the Wine College, light entertainment from Rotary’s friends across the border and the usual speeches and presentations.

Rotarian Dwain Macnamara, a member of the Rotary Club of The Granite Belt, was named a Paul Harris Fellow for his significant donation to The Rotary Foundation and Debbie Wilmot was the recipient of a cheque for her local Cancer project at the Stanthorpe Hospital.

President Perditta delivered her Report and was thanked by club members. She was then presented with a gift and flowers in appreciation.

Following the induction of Past District Governor David Lee as Club President, Past President Angelo Puglisi and President David were recognized for their 50 years of Rotary Service.

Certificates of Recognition were received from the Rotary International President, personally signed, and gifts in recognition were also presented from members of their own club.
