Attendees could purchase damper and billy tea.

The Granite Belt community came together last weekend to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Stanthorpe being proclaimed a town.

Locals were treated to a historical re-enactment, titled From Tin to Town: A Living History of Stanthorpe.

Stanthorpe Little Theatre Co helmed the re-enactment alongside Southern Downs Regional Council.

To complement the performance, attendees were able to purchase homemade sweet treats and damper and billy tea, as well as a miner’s cottage, store and tannery, and two hotel pubs.
