Little Gallery a community hub

By Emily-Rose Toohey

On Warwick’s central Palmerin Street is a multi-purpose cafe, shop, and gathering space known as the Little Gallery.

It’s owned by Wade Real Estate principal Kelly Reardon and her partner, who bought the cafe in June last year.

Kelly said her motivation for buying the Little Gallery was because she felt it was an important part of the community.

“We wanted to keep that going,” she said.

This wish was fulfilled as the cafe/shop has been bustling with people eager to dine in or check out the beautiful interior pieces available.

Community groups like the Men’s Shed can gather in the cafe’s spacious Print Room and locals hoping for some lunch can dine in the beautifully decorated seating area, selecting from the wide variety of coffee, cakes, and sandwiches on offer.

But what makes this space so unique is its interior shop, which Kelly said was another factor that contributed towards her buying the Little Gallery.

“I thought with the real estate that having an interior shop would tie them in really nicely together,” she said.

“Our stock ranges from your interiors – beautiful cushions and table settings – through to clothing and furniture.”

But she has other intentions than simply stocking the store with an assortment of products – these products are well-thought out to appeal to their market.

“We’re trying to source Australian made if we can, especially companies that are in Queensland, but sometimes it’s hard,” Kelly said.

“We really search hard to get the right sort of mix for our customers.”

She said that the cafe also offers catering, including a mixture of cakes, slices, and sandwiches.

“We’ve got amazing staff who are all fully qualified in what they do,” she said.

At the end of day, Kelly said the cafe/shop is a nice place to have be enjoyed by visitors.

“We’re really proud of it,” she said.

The Little Gallery Cafe and Galleria Interiors is located on Palmerin Street in Warwick, shop 1/90.
