Creedence: The John Fogerty Show from Jabba Entertainment will be performing live at Warwick RSL on Friday 29 April.

This is a chance for local audiences to experience the classic and timeless rock music of songwriter, guitarist, and singer John Fogerty, frontman of Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Jabba Entertainment co-director Nathan Ward, guitarist for the tribute band, said they decided to cover Creedence and John Fogerty due to the band’s huge catalogue.

“They’re just one of those bands that have so many recognisable songs,” Nathan said.

“Even if you don’t know the names of them, we’ve found that once the music starts, people instantly recognise the songs.”

Nathan’s journey as a creative has been a long one, and he said music has always been in his family’s blood.

“My father and uncle were in a band called Black Circus, my grandmother was in to music, and we always had instruments around the house,” he said.

“It’s one of those things where Sol (Jabba Entertainment co-director) and I just thought about being full time musicians all of our lives.

“We started Jabba to be a more transparent and open company in an industry that can sometimes not be these things.”

The Creedence tour has well and truly started, and Nathan said the band are currently performing throughout South East Queensland before heading to Rockhampton, then finally to Victoria.

“I love touring – I’m a single guy and it’s the musician in me who loves being on the road,” Nathan said.

“I enjoy finishing a show and looking forward to the next one, and seeing the town, the pub, and the people.”

He said that the Warwick audience are in for a really good night of entertainment.

“Sol and I were touring full time and decided we wanted to get back to something we could keep more local for Queensland and Australia, and was something more positive that crosses a lot of generations, which is how we landed on Creedence,” Nathan said.

Frontman Andre Lemberg will lead the tribute band and sing the greatest hits from Creedence Clearwater Revival and Fogerty’s solo career.

The songs performed will be Bad Moon Rising, Fortunate Son, Green River, Proud Mary, Suzie Q, Run Through The Jungle, Born on the Bayou, The Old Man Down The Road, and many more.

Nathan said that the venue’s capacity is currently 80 per cent filled, and tickets can be purchased through OZTIX: tickets.oztix.com.au/outlet/event/851a5ecb-33f7-4b7f-8b49-5d0ef7839669
