Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash at Stanthorpe on Thursday 3 March.

Around 3:30 am, a B-double truck failed to navigate a roundabout on the New England Highway, coming to a stop on its side as a result.

The southbound lane of the highway was closed for several hours while the scene was cleared.

The 48-year-old Grafton man driving was not injured.

Police said that investigations are continuing.

This comes at a time when the number of trucks on the New England Highway has increased because the Pacific Highway has been cut off due to flood damage.
