Historic race meeting celebrates in style

Things are going tropical for this year's Boxing Day race meeting. Come join the fiesta.

Who’s ready for a Fiesta?

The Warwick Turf Club thank long time sponsors Freestone Feedlot and Maydan Livestock Transport for supporting our Boxing Day Races again in 2021!

The Club’s Nacho Average Boxing Day Races is an exciting theme with a nacho/taco bar, margarita slushies, live entertainment and for the kids’ amusements, snow cones and face painting.

This event is a pre-sold event and tickets will go on sale via Eventbrite from 1 December (link will be available on the warwickturfclub.org.au website). All attendees must register for Covid tracing on entry to course via the Check in QLD app.

The six-race card will feature the Magic Millions Country Cup Qualifier (1200m Open Handicap) with prizemoney totalling $32,500. The winner of this race shall be exempt from ballot, if eligible and nominated, for the 2022 Magic Millions Country Cup 1200m at the Gold Coast on 8 January 2022.

The program also features a three-year-old BM58 QTIS handicap of 1100m. All nominations close on 21st December at 11am.”

In 2022 the annual Christmas Races will reach a milestone of 170 years. The Moreton Bay Courier advertised and later reported in 1852 the results of the Warwick Christmas Races held on the 26 and 27 December. Now that’s impressive!

The Warwick Turf Club management team wish the people of the region a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

They look forward to you joining them for a fun family friendly fiesta!
