Warwick Post Office evacuated after workers smell smoke

Both QAS and QFS attended the scene at Warwick Post Office.

The Warwick Post Office was today evacuated after workers reported a strong smell of electrical smoke.

Staff stood outside on Grafton Street as firefighters checked the building.

Auxiliary firefighter, Daniel Wood, stated that firefighters checked the bottom and second level of the building, using a thermal imaging camera and multi ray to check for any increased temperatures or toxicity.

They reportedly could not find a source for the smell but found the building to be safe for staff to re-enter.
