Senior Constable Kirsty Moore stated that if something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

She also urges locals present not to stay on phone calls that seemed suspicious, stating they obviously want to keep you on the line for a reason.

Kirsty also stated that locals should not be hesitant to contact local police, as they are there to help.

She said that if locals have gotten to the point where they are considering calling the police, they shouldn’t worry about it not being a “real emergency”.
