A match meant to last

When Stanthorpe girl Taylah Wantling met Millmerran farm boy Luke Willett it was a match meant to last.

Taylah married Luke at Mt Domville, Millmerran on 25 September with her bridal party including Matron of Honor Shelbi McMahon and with Teigan Wantling, Tina Imeson and Rebbecca Torrisi acting as bridesmaids.

Luke was attended by best man David Willett with Dom Bland, Marty Stevens and Alec Stevens as groomsmen while Elsie Willett was flower girl and Clancy Willett the page boy.

Taylah is the middle daughter of Russell and Samantha Wantling, and Luke is the eldest son of Peter and Sharon Willett.

“Our day was everything we imagined and more,” Taylah said.

“We were blessed with beautiful weather and the most perfect of locations – our backyard.

“Sharing the life we have made with all our family and friends was what set our wedding apart.”

“Everything had our own personal touch – from the vast landscape where we said I do, to the family machinery shed that our families spent days turning into our vision.

“We decided for the signing of the registry we would draw names from a hat instead of the traditional matron of honour and best men.

“Every person who was there was special to us, so why not involve them in our day.

“When we drew a solicitor and auctioneer from the hat – well it can’t be more binding!” she laughed.

She said the wedding was all about family and the life the pair have created together.

“This wedding was us, our children, our families and our lives all rolled into one,” Taylah said.

“We couldn’t have asked for anything more.”
