A Covid-19 testing clinic is currently open at the Warwick Showgrounds, open daily from 8:30 am to 4 pm until further notice.
The outdoor testing clinic at the Warwick Hospital has been temporarily closed in anticipation of potentially significant wet weather over the next several days.
Southern Downs Mayor Vic Pennisi said there are a number of options across the region for the community to get tested and vaccinated.
“Council is working very closely with the Queensland Government and Queensland Health during this time and will continue to support them to keep our community safe,” Mayor Pennisi said.
“It is paramount that if you are feeling unwell, go and get tested and isolate until you receive a negative result.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to encourage everyone to roll up their sleeves and get the jab for the greater good.”
Darling Downs Health are currently reviewing options for a pop-up vaccination clinic in Warwick and details will be confirmed shortly.
The Stanthorpe State School will also host a pop-up vaccination clinic on Saturday 13 November between 9 am and 4.30 pm. Anyone over the age of 12 years is eligible. Everyone is welcome and no bookings are required.

Currently, there are two contact tracing alerts for Warwick: Tuesday 2 November, 1 pm to 2 pm, Condamine Sports Club and Wednesday 3 November, 8.40 pm to 9.10 pm, Warwick RSL.
A casual contact means those at the exposure site should get tested at their earliest opportunity, return home and quarantine until they receive a negative result.
The community is reminded of the current restrictions and requirements:
• Maintain physical distancing – 1 person per 2 m2 or stay at least 1.5m from others.
• Wear a mask if required and maintain hand hygiene.
• Use the Check In Qld app.
• Get tested if you are unwell and remain in isolation until a negative result is received.
• Stay at home when sick.
Darling Downs Health is also kindly asking people to limit visits to the Warwick Hospital and The Oaks Retirement Village at this time.
