A walk-in clinic will be set up at the Warwick Leslie Park Rodeo Markets (Palmerin Street) to provide the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine doses on Saturday, 30 October.

Everyone aged 12 years and above can be immunised from 8.30am to 1pm. Darling Downs Health Department urges residents to be vaccinated as Christmas approaches, meaning physical contact with vulnerable family members.

Please bring your identity, Medicare card, and a pen if you plan to attend the clinic.

“Saturday’s clinic at the Warwick Rodeo markets will be open to everyone aged 12 and over. It’s a walk-in clinic, so it’s difficult to estimate how many people may attend, but we will have adequate staff and vaccine supplies to provide vaccinations to at least 150 people,” a Darling Downs Health spokesperson said.

“Our staff are well-practised at providing walk-in clinics and will do all they can to get everyone who wants their vaccination through as quickly as possible.”

Queensland hit the 60 per cent double dose milestoneon Saturday as the State Health Department delivered 43,716 COVID-19 vaccinations over the weekend.

More than 60 per cent of Queenslanders are now double-dosed, and almost 75 percent of the eligible population have received at least one dose.

Last week, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk revealed the state’s milestones for vaccination rate. She said that those who are fully vaccinated would have to cross the border from interstate hotspots in time for Christmas.

“This will be achieved in cautious and measured stages once 70 and 80 per cent of eligible Queenslanders are double-dosed,” Ms Palaszczuk said.

At a 90 pe rcent total vaccination rate, no entry restrictions or quarantine for vaccinated arrivals from interstate or overseas will be required.

Unvaccinated travellers will need to apply for a border pass, enter within the international arrivals cap, and undertake quarantine for up to 14 days (subject to review by AHPPC).
