A car crash in Stanthorpe this morning has required a local be cut out of her vehicle.

Emergency services responded to the two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Folkestone Street and Barton Street around 6:30 this morning.

Queensland Ambulance Services reported that paramedics were on the scene at 6:35am, and that one vehicle had reportedly rolled over.

An hour later, they stated that two patients were transported to Stanthorpe Hospital in stable conditions with minor injuries following the earlier incident.

A spokesperson for Queensland Ambulance Services stated that these injuries were “soft tissue injuries”.

Queensland Police Services stated they got the call to the scene at 6:36am, and there was one entrapment.

A spokesperson stated that one person, a female aged 66, was taken through to Stanthorpe Hospital for observation.

A second 49-year-old woman, reportedly the driver of the second car, “was just checked over”.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services reported that they received the call to the scene at 6:37am.

Stanthorpe crews responded, but a heavy rescue team also responded from Toowoomba.

Crews arrived on the scene at 6:49am to find one adult encapsulated.

After removing the windscreen with hydraulic cutting gear, the patient was out of the vehicle by 7:04am.
