JJJ picnic now on Palmerin

Jumpers and Jazz' Picnic in the Park will be held in Warwick's CBD on Sunday 25 July.

Committees for Jumpers and Jazz in July and Potters Markets have announced two major festival events planned for Sunday 25 July – the Potters Markets and Jazz Arena – will now be created on Warwick’s Palmerin Street.

“Due to previous advice that Leslie Park was unusable due to saturation and further rain predicted on Friday, the usual high cost of road closure and length of process caused the Potters and Jumpers and Jazz committees to consider other suitable locations,” said Jumpers and Jazz’ Bette Bonney.

“At that time, the Warwick Showgrounds was the only feasible venue with need for ample power and reasonable cost.”

Bette said the committees appreciated the “congenial positive response” of the Show Society personnel.

“The urgent assistance of Southern Downs Regional Council and local businesses has now circumvented the high cost and usual length of process of road closure,” she said.

“It is with pleasure that the popular ‘Picnic in the Park’ event will back in the CBD, always a high priority of Jumpers and Jazz in July committee, where the vibe, sounds, and colour of Jumpers and Jazz Festival can be enjoyed to the max.”
