Police seeking public info on sheep theft

Police are investigating the theft of a mob of sheep from a property at Cunningham, approximately 15 minutes west of Warwick, on Friday 28 August.

A police statement said initial investigations “indicate that sometime during the evening, a vehicle was parked directly outside a property on Leyburn Cunningham Road”.

“Unknown offender/s have targeted a small mob of sheep yarded on the property and loaded 5 x ewes and 5 x lambs into the vehicle,” the police bulletin said.

“Police are requesting information from anyone who may have sighted suspicious activity in the vicinity of Cunningham on or around 28 August or anyone may be aware of a person who has recently acquired sheep by an unknown means or advertised a small number of sheep for sale.”
